The Robot Vacuum Deals Case Study You'll Never Forget

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, meaning you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that appears like toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it around the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots can't do this. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, though not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, is an option for those who want both mopping and a vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably a hybrid. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your house at the same time. These bots also come with various additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't come with some of the premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option when you're willing to compromise to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums can really fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once in place, emptying the bin is simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is relatively compact. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that does a really good job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the house.  auto vacuum 's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do everything.

If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an outlet for power and ample space for it to move around however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The main aspect that distinguishes the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.

The sleek G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials such as cereal.
